# Compute Units and Usage Guide

## What Are Compute Units?

Compute units are the currency of computational resources on [Krea](https://krea.ai). They measure the processing power required for:
* Image generation
* Video creation
* Image enhancement

## Tracking Your Usage
### Viewing Current Usage
1. **Access Usage Statistics**
* Log in to your account
* Navigate to your account profile

## Troubleshooting Usage Issues
### "Insufficient Compute Units"
**Immediate Solutions**:
1. Check current usage in account
2. Each day all users have a small amount of free compute units so you can wait for that to reset
3. Wait for the monthly reset if you're on a paid plan
4. If you're on a paid plan, you can make [one-time compute pack](https://www.krea.ai/settings/compute-packs) purchases. The purchased amount of compute units must be used within 90 days and they do not refresh.

### Do unused compute units from my monthly plan roll over?
Compute units currently do not roll over for individual plans.
Compute units do roll over for business and enterprise plans. If you are on a monthly business or enterprise plan, your unused compute units will roll over to the next month. If you are on an annual business or enterprise plan, they will roll over up to 12 months.
### Can I buy additional compute units?
Yes, you can via compute packs which are independent of your subscription from [https://www.krea.ai/settings/compute-packs](https://www.krea.ai/settings/compute-packs). Compute packs allow you to generate more than your Krea subscription allows without needing to upgrade your plan. The purchased amount of compute units must be used within 90 days and they do not refresh.
### Why did my generation use more units than expected?
Factors like prompt complexity, quality settings, and model type can affect consumption. Generations will also be less costly on higher tier plans.
### How accurate is the usage tracking?
Usage tracking updates in near real-time, usually within 1-2 minutes of consumption.
